Road TipsThe Road Hogs' eCoaches know just about everything under the sun about racing, training and nutrition. Road Tips is a place for non-eCoaches ('neCoaches') to give helpful hints about the few things the eCoaches have missed. n Consider wearing winter shrits inside-out. These garments frequently have big seems, and on longer runs, they chafe me if I wear them "properly." Turning the shirt inside-out looks a little funny, but it is the comfortable way to go. Erik Jensen n Do you hate lace locks as much as I do? Do you wear shoes with lace locks anyway, because you hate having those hard earned seconds slip away with a slooowww transition? In a run-bike-run duathlon, consider bringing a separate pair of shoes for each run leg. The first pair should be your usual pair without lace locks. Use lace locks on your second pair so you can make a quick transition, you'll only have to run half the race with lace locked shoes! Erik Jensen Send your Road Tip to Us |
